It DOES fit the EF-S55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS lens
Another reviewer claims it does not fit this lens but I received it today and it fits great. It turns clockwise (when facing the lens) for a nice snug fit - even with a filter on the lens. I suggest the other reviewer try again.
I have bought a few items from this company and they are very responsive and goods arrive quickly - even across country to California.

The low price of this plastic lens hood should tell you that it isn't going to be as exciting as a Canon branded accessory. But it mounts well on the 55-250mm lens, and for .95, it gets the job done, and is light weight. It is also made to mount in reverse, so you can keep it on the lens when not in use, or when you store it.

Another reviewer said it didn't fit the Canon EF-S 55-250 IS lens, but I've mounted it on my lens, and it fits fine.

Nunca pude utilizar este parasol, ya que Cameta Camera, lo empaco en una bolsa y no en una caja, como debió de ser, cuando llego a mis manos ya estaba roto.
Reporte este problema hace varios dias y no he obtenido respuesta, creo que estan evitando responder por sus errores.

Will NOT fit Canon 55-250 IS lens either.
This lens hood is fine, but it does NOT fit the Canon 55-250 IS lens, as advertised...so don't purchase it unless you know it'll fit.

Fits perfectly works great. I'd recommend it to anyone for the difference in price from the real Canon one.
